Give AI your project context, not just a screenshot
AI Handoff prepares a structured specification of your AlinaWeb project so an external development assistant can understand the existing work before changing it.

What the package describes
The generated package includes .ai/project.json, .ai/design-system.json, .ai/components.json, .ai/responsive.json and .ai/instructions.md, with additional guidance depending on the selected assistant. These files describe page structure, component identity, design choices and responsive behavior.
Stable component IDs help identify existing elements. The design-system specification communicates shared styles, and responsive information explains how the layout should adapt. Review the handoff readiness information and project instructions before downloading the package.
Use it together with exported source
Sign in, save the project and prepare AI Handoff in the builder. Download the website as HTML or a WordPress theme as appropriate, then place the handoff files with that source in the development environment used by your assistant.
Ask for one concrete improvement, such as extending a service section while keeping its current layout and navigation. Explain which routes and behaviors must stay the same. The specification adds context, but the assistant still needs the source files to make changes to your actual website.
Review the result before accepting it
Keep an unchanged working copy or use version control before the assistant edits files. Compare the changes with your request, check the output at desktop and mobile widths, and test the affected links or forms. If the work introduces backend logic, review authorization, validation and error handling too.
AI Handoff supports a more informed workflow; it cannot guarantee safe or correct output from another tool. External assistants operate separately from AlinaWeb and may require their own accounts or paid services.
Keep visual and code changes coordinated
Changes made by an assistant outside AlinaWeb do not automatically synchronize into the visual editor. Treat the export as a development starting point and preserve your manual changes when generating a new version.
For a designer handing work to a developer, include the approved preview and a concise task description as well as the source and handoff files. This makes it easier to understand what should be extended and which decisions are already settled.
