What AI assistance means in AlinaWeb
The current AI capability is AI Handoff: it prepares project information and instructions for an assistant you use separately. It is not an integrated prompt-to-website generator, and it does not automatically make edits inside the visual canvas. Start by composing your website with the builder, then bring the exported project and handoff files into your development workflow.
This distinction matters when choosing a free AI website builder. You can try visual design for free without an account; saving and handoff require sign-in. External AI tools may require their own accounts or subscriptions. AlinaWeb does not include their services.
Give the assistant context before asking for a change
A screenshot can show appearance but leave out page relationships, responsive rules and component identity. AI Handoff supplies structured project, design-system, component and responsive specifications. It also generates guidance for the selected assistant, helping you describe the work against an existing project.
For example, an agency can design a service website, export its HTML and ask an assistant to extend one contact section. Give the assistant the source files and handoff package, explain the desired change and identify the layout and routes that must stay intact. Review the changes before publishing.
A workflow for developers and designers
Designers can communicate a more explicit structure than a visual mockup alone. Developers can inspect the exported HTML, CSS and JavaScript, use their usual version control and test changes locally. The exported website does not require an AlinaWeb runtime or a particular frontend framework.
AI-generated changes still need human review, security checks and responsive testing. Handoff provides context; it cannot guarantee that an assistant will preserve every behavior. Keep a working copy of your export and compare the updated result with the approved design.
