How to build a website for free with AlinaWeb
Start with one useful page and work through the complete publishing path. This guide uses the current visual builder, account-based exports and AI Handoff workflow.

1. Plan one clear visitor journey
Write down who the website is for and what visitors should do next. For a small business, that might be reading a service description and making contact. For a portfolio, it might be reviewing three projects and opening your contact link. Prepare your own text and images before spending time on effects.
Open the guest builder and select an available project type. Start with the page structure: navigation, a main heading, useful supporting sections and a footer. Use descriptive link text so visitors understand the destination before clicking.
2. Build and customize the page
Place sections and content components on the canvas. Add your headings, paragraphs, images and buttons, then adjust typography, colors and spacing. Reuse components when the same navigation or section appears on multiple pages instead of recreating slightly different versions.
Use one main heading per page and descriptive subheadings for its sections. Replace placeholders, give informative images useful descriptions and check that every button points to the intended page or action. A clear message usually matters more than another animation.
3. Check responsive views and save
Switch through desktop, tablet and mobile views. Look for headings that wrap awkwardly, columns that need stacking and controls that are difficult to tap. Preview the site and follow its navigation. Test keyboard access to interactive elements as well as pointer interaction.
Create an account or sign in to save permanently. Guest storage is temporary and should not be your only copy. Saving, exporting and AI Handoff require an account; the limits assigned to it can affect export availability.
4. Export and test on your host
Choose HTML for an editable website package or WordPress for an independent theme. For HTML, extract the package and upload its complete structure to compatible hosting. For WordPress, install the theme on a staging site and review it before activation on your live site.
Test links, images and forms on the destination server. Static hosting cannot process PHP forms. Configure any server-side requirements, set the final website URL and review your page metadata. Hosting and domain registration are separate from building for free.
5. Continue improving the website
If you need custom development, keep the exported source in version control. Add AI Handoff when working with an external assistant and describe one specific change at a time. Review the difference, test it and preserve the working version before publishing.
Future tutorials can build on this process with focused examples for portfolios, business websites, WordPress theme customization and hosting migrations. This guide remains the starting point; additional articles should be published only after their steps have been verified against the builder.
